BOLTON — The Bolton Conservation Commission closed a septic hearing, advanced an ADU tree deal and tabled Bowers Spring dog rules. Chair Brian Berube led three 7-0 roll-call votes: closing a Notice of Intent hearing for a septic replacement at 92 Randall Road, continuing a hearing for a 1,199-square-foot accessory dwelling unit at 455 Sugar Road, and approving a field amendment for a paved driveway apron at 113 Still River Road. For the Sugar Road project, engineer Ryan Proctor and Conservation Agent Rebecca Bucciaglia worked out a mitigation formula replacing trees over 12 inches one-to-one and smaller trees two-to-one with shrubs.

The sharpest debate came over Bowers Spring Conservation Area, where 81 dog droppings have been flagged since snowmelt. Harvard resident Rich Fischer said "it is so gross back there right now," while Bolton's Caitlin Bradford said complaint data "did not seem to support" a widespread problem. The commission took no vote and will revisit leash rules April 7.
