Bolton Conservation Commission approved a shed and tree removal but blocked backyard fill and wall plans pending engineering review. Chair Brian Berube said the commission needed to see engineered plans for a retaining wall at 253 South Bolton Road, warning that "if that wall were to fail, it would be catastrophic to the resource area." Applicant Will Pearson disputed the commission's estimate that the project required 12 to 15 dump truck loads of fill, saying some of that material was for the shed pad. The board voted unanimously to issue a negative three determination allowing only the shed and tree work, requiring a full notice of intent for the grading and wall.
Separately, the commission corrected a prior Lot 4 Green Road determination from negative three to negative six, and approved parking plans for the Bolton Conservation Trust's June 27 annual meeting at Bowers Spring.
