Conservation · Meeting of July 7, 2026
BOLTON — The Bolton Conservation Commission approved an after-the-fact wetland permit for unauthorized shoreline work at 30 Nourse Road. Chair Brian Berube led the 5-0-1 roll call vote issuing the Order of Conditions, DEP File #112-0769, for applicant Jean Fabio DeSouza's property, with member Samantha Bosselait abstaining. The commission also voted 6-0 to issue a full certificate of compliance for a Forbush Mill Road stream-crossing project after Conservation Agent Rebecca Bucciaglia reported a May site visit with FEMA and MEMA representatives found the work compliant.
Members awarded the fiscal 2027 Bowers Spring and Butternut Lane mowing contract to Henderson Striker, the only bidder, and continued a hearing on a new Bolton Youth Baseball and Softball batting cage to July 21 after Bucciaglia noted the project sits within wetland buffer zones and that "under our local wetland bylaw, fences are not exempt." A partial certificate request for a Berlin Road culvert project was tabled pending a site visit.
