Board of Health grants well variance; housing enforcement stalls on deed dispute
Board of Health · Meeting of September 8, 2026
BOLTON — Board of Health grants Sanders Lane well variance despite driveway offset violation. Chair Chris Rogers moved unanimously to approve the variance for 11 Sanders Lane, where the drilled well ended up 10 to 15 feet from its proposed location within feet of the driveway edge but below the 10-foot minimum offset, after confirmation that two bollards are in place for protection. The Board also approved an irrigation well permit at 105 Vaughn Hill Road with potability testing required, and unanimously approved a septic system upgrade at 51 Teele Road from three bedrooms to four bedrooms without additional treatment.
Housing enforcement at 19 Bare Hill Road remains blocked; the Board cannot effect legal service of exterior violation citations because certified mail was returned unsigned, and the property deed issue is pending court resolution before an October auction can proceed.
