BOLTON — The Bolton Planning Board approved lighting and turf upgrades for the Nashoba Regional High School field without a new hearing. Members Robert Romer, James Barr and Michael Gore voted 3-0 in favor; Michael Lau recused himself. The board separately voted 4-0 to back a Metropolitan Area Planning Council technical assistance grant application to rewrite zoning bylaws for new state clean energy siting rules covering solar arrays and battery storage.
Officials confirmed Bolton's existing data center ban has cleared Attorney General review, calling it "a prohibited use." The board also set October 28 for a second public outreach meeting on the Forbush Mill solar-siting bylaw rewrite, and tabled approval of its June 24 minutes for lack of a quorum of attending members.
