Bolton Adopts Hazard Mitigation Plan Update
Bolton Select Board adopted an updated hazard mitigation plan tying the town's federal funding eligibility to storm and flood preparedness.
Select Board · Meeting of April 30, 2026
Bolton Select Board adopted an updated hazard mitigation plan tying the town's federal funding eligibility to storm and flood preparedness. The board voted 3-0 to approve the plan, which DPW Director Randy Hagelin called "really vital" for securing the last reimbursement on the FEMA-funded Forbush Mill No. 2 culvert project. Members also wrestled with Century Mill Estates, where a 2023 road-inspection report never led to repairs; Kate Buyuk will now seek a written commitment from residents on 2026 work before DPW returns for another walkthrough.
The board continued a sign waiver request for a new Hudson Road dental practice to May 14 pending a mock-up, and reviewed a draft security camera policy limiting footage access to the police chief or designee. The board also approved 15 additional one-day liquor licenses for Bolton Spring Farm events and a First Responders Appreciation Week proclamation for May 17-23.
