Bolton Select Board elects Buyuk chair, approves building review

Bolton Select Board elected Kate Buyuk chair and established a building viability task force. The nine-member task force will assess whether the town should retain Town Hall and Houghton Building or sell the facilities and pursue a commercial lease for municipal operations, with recommendations due by February 2027. In related action, the board unanimously approved a non-binding memorandum with Massachusetts Keep Lights On Initiative, signaling interest in exploring community microgrids funded through state grants.
The board also approved new appointments: Chris Rogers as building commissioner and zoning enforcement officer effective June 1, and Eric A. Kinsherf as temporary town accountant effective May 11.
