Select Board · Meeting of August 13, 2026
Bolton Select Board approved new transfer station sticker prices ahead of a January 1 requirement for all residents. The board, with Brian Boyle and Bill Nickles voting 2-0 in Kate Buyuk's absence, set fees at $50 for a first sticker ($25 for seniors 65 and up) and $5 for a second or replacement sticker, based on a Transfer Station Committee recommendation from member Alan Levin. The board also authorized Town Administrator Marie Sobalvarro to obtain an appraisal for easements needed to advance the $1.8 million Forbush Mill Culvert No. 1 replacement, which carries a completion deadline of the end of 2027.
A hearing on revoking Daigneault's Liquor's license was continued to September 10 while the owner negotiates a sale. The board also approved an amended outdoor entertainment license for Oak & Orchard and welcomed new Town Accountant Matthew Gargano, who previously worked as assistant treasurer/collector in Maynard. Ride to Defeat ALS organizer Myke Farriker said the Bolton-area event has raised "about 4.3 million" dollars over 26 years.
