Select Board calls special town meeting for water work

Select Board · Meeting of January 8, 2026

Bolton calls special town meeting for emergency water work. The Select Board voted unanimously on January 8 to schedule a special town meeting for February 12, 2026, to address boil water orders affecting the Public Safety Building and Library. Town Administrator Marie Sobalvarro presented the issue, noting the town signed a $71,000 contract with RH White for temporary remediation required by the Department of Environmental Protection.

The board is asking taxpayers to backfill the $194,000 Local Improvements budget line that was depleted for the emergency work, with no expected impact to tax bills.
