Conservation Board Amends Main Street Parking Order
Conservation Board · Meeting of September 1, 2026
Bolton Conservation Commission closes court-ordered remand hearing over Main Street parking. Chair Brian Barabee led the board through a Worcester Superior Court-ordered remand in Baird-Bolton LLC v. Bolton Conservation Commission, voting to amend the order of conditions for 711-713 Main Street by removing a condition barring parking and driving in the property's courtyard above its septic system.
The same roll call, with members Sue Mitra, Jim Garrity and Paul Reinwald voting aye alongside two other participants, also issued a certificate of compliance for 137 Green Road under DEP file number 112-0738 and approved adding Halloween-themed scavenger-hunt stamps to the previously authorized October 29 Take Back the Nature trail walk. "I don't think she saw any reason for us not to issue the certificate of compliance," Barabee said of the Green Road site visit. Staff also announced a September 8 buckthorn removal event at Taggart Forestland.
