Public Ways Safety Committee · Meeting of August 12, 2026

Bolton Public Ways Committee delays school speed zone, explores road closure. At its August 12 meeting, the committee unanimously approved prior minutes and postponed discussion of a school speed zone at Bolton High School until the new building is completed. Members Mary Ciummo, Chris Strus, Kathleen Andrews, and Alan Levin authorized Levin to explore a permanent closure of Forbush Mill Road at Still River Road to address anticipated traffic from planned development at Forbush Mill and Route 117.

The committee declined license plate-reading cameras, expressing preference for pole-mounted speed display signs.
