Bolton safety committee welcomes member, discusses state funding for traffic safety

Bolton committee welcomes new member and pursues road safety funding. The Public Ways Safety Committee officially welcomed new member Alan Levin following the resignation of Sylwia. The town is under consideration for the LEAP program with awards expected in fall, and has submitted interest in a technical MTTA program.
Members reviewed recently installed thickly settled signs, raising concerns about their 9x12 size and placement, and noted completion of sidewalk installation at Alt Nashoba apartment complex. For speed monitoring equipment, the current $1 million state grant cycle is closed, so Alan Levin will research alternative grants beginning in September.
