Board of Health approves septic work, addresses soil contamination

Bolton Board of Health approves ADU septic system at Sugar Road. Meeting members Chris Rogers, Chair; Christopher Slade, Member; and Wendy Karlon, Member approved a septic permit for a two-bedroom accessory dwelling unit at 455 Sugar Road. Bill Brookings, Health Agent with Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, reported the existing four-bedroom home system is rated for six-bedroom flow and passed Title 5 inspection.
The Board also addressed soil contamination at Wattaquadock Hill Road, where 2006 test results show arsenic and lead above acceptable limits, authorizing Brookings to draft a clarifying letter to John Stephenson, noting that a future owner's Licensed Site Professional would determine if new testing is necessary.
